Ray Bradbury was one of the most celebrated writers of our time. He wrote over 50 books and hundreds of poems and stories. His books Halloween Tree and Fahrenheit 451 were only two of his many contributions to our literature classics.
Tom Clancy's first book was The Hunt for Red October which is still one of the most popular books in modern literature (one of our personal favorites!). Clancy was the undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense.
The late Maurice Sendak left us a wealth of stories and wonderful illustrations. His most popular book was Where the Wild Things Are, a story that derived from his own childhood. You will find Maurice Sendak Collections in both the Bookstore and the Art Gallery!
We feature complete sets of the first Deluxe editions published by Bloomsbury in the U.K. (many still in original shrinkwrap!) The American publisher, Scholastic, never did complete a matching Deluxe set.
Richard Bach's best known books are Jonathan Livingston Seagull and Illusions. Did you know that Ray Bradbury was Bach's friend and mentor? He called Bradbury "the best writer of imagination in the history of the language." I'm sure Bradbury felt similarly about Bach.
John Grisham sold his first book A Time to Kill out of his car trunk because no publisher would touch it until Wynwood did a small run in paperback. However next was The Firm and the rest is history. Many books, films and international editions later, Grisham is the best at what he does.
