Parrish Books has been a full-time dealer of collectible, signed and rare books online since 2002. We will do everything we can to ensure you have a pleasurable buying experience.

Terms of Sale

All prices quoted are in U.S. dollars.

All books are shipped on a first ordered basis and are subject to prior sale, although we will make the greatest effort to obtain a similar book whenever possible to satisfy our customers' needs.

Purchasing and Holding Books

Payments for all purchases are due at the time of ordering.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Paypal and American Express.

Return Policy

We accept returns only in the case of a company error, such as undisclosed damage or if the item received is not as described. If you believe there’s been an error, please contact us within 7 business days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a refund:

  • You must contact us first before returning any item.
  • The book must be returned in its original condition.
  • All returns must be securely packaged . We strongly suggest you purchase insurance for your return. We cannot provide a full refund for a return that has been damaged in transit or has gone missing. 

Once we receive your return, we will inspect the item and, if an error on our part is confirmed, issue a full refund, including:

  • The original purchase price
  • The cost of return shipping (with receipt or proof of cost)

Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment within 7–14 business days of receipt.

Please Note:

We strive to provide clear photos and detailed, accurate descriptions of every book, including publisher, publication date, and edition type.

If you are unsure about an edition or its condition, we are happy to provide additional photos or answer any questions to help you determine if a book is right for you. We want you to be pleased with your book choice.

 

 

 Mailing, Postage and Insurance:

Occasionally, certain items, such as oversized books or framed art work, may require extra postage due to size, weight, or special handling. When this applies, we will contact you directly to discuss any additional charges before shipping.

If you have any questions about postage or shipping costs, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Postage is additional for international orders ($85 Air shipping); free Priority Mail shipping is provided for all U.S. orders. We apologize for the increase in shipping charges for our international collectors but the rising costs of overseas shipping have forced this increase in charges. 

Occasionally, we list certain books as Media Mail only to help maximize the proceeds we can donate to charity. Choosing Media Mail allows us to keep costs low and pass more funds to causes we support.

Please be aware that Media Mail shipping may take longer than other options. If you have any questions about shipping methods or delivery times, feel free to contact us!

All purchases will be securely packaged in a sturdy Parrish Books mailing box with an over-abundance of packing materials to ensure the book's safe arrival. All books will be mailed through the U.S. Post Office unless another carrier is requested. If you prefer another carrier, please call or email us and we will arrange it. Express service is available at a additional cost that we will quote you in advance.

We are committed to protecting your privacy.

We will not sell or disclose any information you give us to a third party without your prior approval. We may use the information we collect to periodically notify you about new services or special offers we think you will be find valuable.
