Includes three note tabs and nearly half a dozen notations by Rice throughout the edition, written in the margins with comments on the Lee Child’s characters, plot, and elements of style. Examples include page 76, where Rice noted details she saw as “Kafkaesque” along with commentary on Child’s use of metaphor, and page 121 where Rice noted “…more than a fight scene.” Rice included a detailed paragraph at the end of the book, dated “Sept 18, 2013: Paris” where she noted her favorable thoughts on the novel, her reaction to reading it and her thoughts on being in Paris. Delightful.

Complete dust jacket shows no flaws, includes price, in Fine condition, now in a protective cover.

R.L. Stine awarded Anne Rice with ThrillerFest’s 2013 Award and announced her with a lovely, thoughtful introduction, where Stine recounted discussing with Rice the “Tales From the Crypt” comics they both read as children, which Stine admitted made him laugh, while Rice confessed being scared by. Stine’s introduction included his thoughts that “there are fewer than a handful of authors in history who’ve taken a genre of fiction and changed it forever. Anne Rice…is one of those rare authors."
