Arthur Yorinks has been described as having "one of the most distinctive prose styles in children's literature." Yorinks has been a creative professional for over four decades, with his most recent contribution to the arts in the form of an evening-length, experimental play titled "Dreams: 12 Variations" at the American Mime Theater (AMT) in 2024, a theater company Yorinks leads as Artistic Director.

AMT also provides its community with free conversation events, with the website describing the talks as "a series of conversations featuring unique perspectives from people within a broad spectrum of the arts, humanities, and many other professions covering the landscape of daily life. From performers to plumbers, from writers to welders, AMT Talks encourage insight, discussion, and an intimate dive into our daily work lives."
