A lovely First Edition, First Printing of William Styron's Award-winning book. In black cloth with some rubbing of the markings on the spine and two very small smudges on the front and back covers. Dustjacket is faded on the spine, which is typical for this edition, and the end of the dustjacket spine has very minor chipping. The fragile dustjacket is covered in plastic for protection, the original price is intact. The author's other works include his first novel, "Lie Down in Darkness," for which he was Awarded the Prix de Rome from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and "Set This House on Fire," and "Sophie's Choice."
