The dustjacket is complete and in fine condition, protected by an archival plastic cover. This is Swofford's first novel, preceded by his best-selling autobiography, "Jarhead." One of our favorite authors. A very fine book.
In an 2016 interview with Barely South Review, Swofford stated, "I think the highest compliment I ever got was when a friend's husband told me after he read 'Exit A' -- 'I cried three times and got two hardons. I love that book.' There's nothing wrong with making the reader turn the page. You have to keep them in their seat, and keep them wanting more. And that's all about timing, and the music of your story telling."
Swofford has taught classes at Lewis & Clark College as well as at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop. He is a former U.S. Marine and co-produced the 2006 documentary "Semper Fi."
