In an interview with Michael Soussan for The Brown Journal of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Brzezinski stated that the purpose of this title was to ‘draw attention to the extraordinary cost of dogmatic ideology.’ He explores and analyzes the ‘massive geopolitical disorder’ that stretches across the globe, with a special focus on what he refers to as the ‘politics of organized insanity.’ Originally published in 1993, this title examined in detail the rapid international changes following the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War.
Zbigniew Brzezinski served as the US National Adviser to President Carter from 1977 to 1981 and was a professor of American foreign policy at John Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies.
