A true first printing/ first edition with price clipped first edition dust jacket displaying brown tint printing on flaps and blue tint author's photograph on back. No mention of either Pulitzer or Nobel prizes on dust jacket.
Scribner's "A" is present as well as the seal at copy right page. Blue cloth boards with Hemingway's signature blind-stamped at front board with the title in silver along the spine. Linen pages are clean with some toning. Square and tight binding. The original first edition dust jacket has some moderate wear and chipping (please see photographs), price clipped and protected in removable clear sleeve. Some water drop stains or discoloration appears on front and end boards along with pencil marking in corner of front end page.
A true collector's edition.
