A beautiful painting, fully framed, by Peter Thorpe that was selected by HarperCollins for the cover of Tony Hillerman's best-selling book, "The Sinister Pig." We are also including the first edition book of "The Sinister Pig, signed by Tony Hillerman. The painting is professionally framed and matted in a brown wood frame that measures 13 7/8" x 23 " high. The painting is done in acrylic on hand made paper and the visible size of the painting is 8 3/4" x 7" high. The framing includes a copy of the first edition cover. The painting has not been examined outside of the frame. The first edition book is in fine condition, with a complete dustjacket, signed by Tony Hillerman on a clean white page at the front of the book. Published in 2003, "The Sinister Pig" was the sixteenth crime fiction novel in the Joe Leaphorn / Jim Chee Navajo Tribal Police series by Tony Hillerman. It was a New York Times best-seller soon after it was published, in June 2003. Thorpe's painting was also used on the paperback first edition and subsequent editions including audio book and large print edition.
