A lovely First Edition of this popular Sendak book, inscribed by Maurice Sendak on the front free endpaper, "To Michael, Maurice Sendak," very scarce signed by the late Mr. Sendak. Translated and adapted by Seymour Barofsky, illustrated by Maurice Sendak, the story written by Phillip Sendak, Maurice Sendak's father. Bound in brown cloth in fine condition but for a touch of fading on the top cover edge. brown cloth. With a bright pictorial dustjacket that is fine condition but for minor wrinkling, enclosed in an archival plastic dustjacket.
