With gold gilt page edges and cover designs, decorative endpapers and bound-in silk bookmark. In fine condition but for the very lightest rub on the shiny gilt edge, not removing the gilt. Includes an extensive index and a forward written by the author only for this Franklin Library edition. Recipient of the 1955 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting and former Associate Editor of the New York Times, Salisbury's works included "Moscow Journal The End of Stalin," "The Kingdom and the Power," " Behind the Lines," "Orbit of China," "900 Days: The Siege of Leningrad," "War Between Russia and China," "Black Night White Snow," " Russia in Revolution," "Without Fear or Favor," "One Hundred Years of Revolution," "A Journey for Our Times A Memoir," "The Long March: The Untold Story," "Tianamen Diary: Thirteen Days in June," and "Heroes of My Time."
