A handsome 1984 Edition inscribed "To Megan" by Maurice Sendak under the print illustration on page 6. This is a reissue of the 1980 edition complete with 261 illustrations, including 94 plates in full color (some multiple page foldouts), but with only a picture of the original Sendak Red Riding Hood popup and the facsimile of the first seven pages of the earliest dummy for "Where the Wild Things Are," in 278 pages. The covers show an light fading on the bottom edge and the page edges show minor touches of wear/soil but overall very nice. Complete with the original acetate dustjacket with white titling as issued.
