A handsome First Edition signed by Edward Gorey on the title page. Children's book, Age 6 and up. Text by Ennis Rees (Copyright 1964 and 1966) Pictorial dustjacket, cover and illustrations by gorey. No statement of edition. No price on dustjacket. Only English language edition. [Toledano, B47a.] In bright gold boards with extensive color illustations by Gorey, the book is in fine condition but a very small soil dot on the rear endpaper. The dustjacket is complete and in fine condition for for touches of light wear at the edges, a small line of darkening on the top edge of the white panels, and a light spot of soil very light on the front panel, barely noticeable. Overall a nice copy. Measures 8 1/4" high x 8 7/8" wide. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity. This is one of many signed and unsigned Gorey books in the Parrish Books Edward Gorey Collection.
