A lovely First Edition of this popular Sendak book, signed by Maurice Sendak on the front free endpaper and dated "Nov '85," very scarce signed by the late Mr. Sendak. Translated and adapted by Seymour Barofsky, illustrated by Maurice Sendak, the story written by Phillip Sendak, Maurice Sendak's father. Bound in brown cloth in fine condition. With a bright pictorial dustjacket that is fine condition and complete with price but for the bottom front flap clipped as usual, enclosed in an archival plastic dustjacket. This issue is complete with the original price ($9.95) on the front flap (there were also copies issued without a price on jacket). Hanrahan A125.
