Random House, 1969. Limited Numbered Signed First Edition, Signed by Author. Binding: Cloth. Book Condition: Near Fine. Jacket Condition: No Jacket. Slipcase Condition: Near Fine. Size: 8vo - over 7.75" - 9.75" tall. A deluxe limited numbered first edition signed by the author and numbered 155 of 600 limited edition copies. Bound in light beige buckram with an attractive dark red topstain. The book is in fine unread condition and the interior is clean and bright. However there is a small stain on the top of the spine which matches a similar dry stain on the dustjacket at the some spot. Minor, the gold titling on the spine is still quite visible. The signature page is like new, very clean and clear. The dustjacket is complete with no damage but for darkening on the spine and the minor stain on the top of the spine. Encased in the original red paper slipcase which shows touches of wear but which is solid. One of Philip Roth's best known books, this novel made Philip Roth into a literary celebrity when published over 40 years ago. It was made into a major motion picture in 1972 starring Richard Benjamin and Karen Black. Scarce. Parrish Books guarantees all signatures as authentic.
