Jacket Condition: Near Fine in Archival Plastic Cover. Size: 8vo - over 7.75" - 9.75" tall. A scarce and wonderful true First Edition, First Printing of well-known author Richard Bach's first book. Inscribed on the half-title page "For Barry -- With warm best wishes on your own adventures ---[Richard Bach]. In fine blue cloth & boards but with natural toning/darkening to the page edges and touches of wear at the edges. The copyright page states "First Edition" and "F-N" indicating the book was published in June, 1963. The interior is clean. With map endpapers. The dustjacket is complete with the original price ($3.50) and with "YA" and "0863" on the bottom of the front flap which is slightly clipped not affecting the flap's information. There are spots of wear and minor soil on the dustjacket especially at the edges and folds and two small closed tears on the upper edges that are protected by the archival plastic cover. But overall a very special copy of a solid First Printing book with a wonderful and scarce signature. By the author of "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" and "Illusions." Scarce.
