A bright and cheerful original pen and ink hand drawing with hand coloring, signed by Hank Ketcham in lower left. The original cover art for Ketcham's book, "Dennis the Menace: Sunrise Express", published in 1984. A rosy cheeked and happy Dennis rides his bike in search of mayhem and mischief. A few small white spots on the front, very minor, else Fine. Professionally framed to museum quality standards in UV protective glass and a dark red quality frame. 3 fade resistant high quality mats gorgeously complimenting the frame and artwork (cream, black and gray colored mats). Approximate measures are 16" x 20", with the visible image size approximately measuring 9 1/2 x 8 1/4. Attached to back of the frame are three Ketcham related news prints from various years. The backing board states "Cover Art, Sunrise Express." Includes a first paperback edition, first printing of "Dennis the Menace Sunrise Express" that displays the picture on the front cover. In very good condition. Scarce.
