A handsome five volume set, each First Edition signed by Ansel Adams across title page. Each volume has contemporary p.o. note dating the autographs "Sun. Sept. 26, 1976 in Carmel, California". All volumes in near fine condition with just the slightest of edge wear, save for Vol IV which shows evidence of minor bumping to spine. Tightly bound, titles on panels and spines bright and clear, sharp corners. Interior crisp and clean. Spines without creasing. Vol V shows the most minute foxing on fore edges, extremely minor. Dust jackets protected in archival covers. Dust jackets range from very good + to very good. Each dust jacket intact with original price on front flap, located in lower right hand corner. Black and white illustration on each front panel still clear and bright. Text on front and rear panels bright. Light soiling across front and rear panels. Moderate sunning to spines, save for Vol III which still displays bright ink across spine. Light frosting to extremities. Mild to moderate chipping to extremities, with Vol I showing evidence of 3 chips along front and rear panel between 1/2 -3/4" deep. Vol 2 & 3 lower spines have small nic in wrapper. Dust jackets have weathered well despite their age and have preserved the books beautifully.
