A beautiful First Edition of John Steinbeck's classic work in a colorful and crisp first issue dustjacket. The book is in beige oatmeal cloth with dark brown designs and titling, and a gold/yellow topstain, and is in fine condition but for slight darkening to the spine, very minor, and natural toning to the page edges. The interior is clean and bright with "First Published in April 1939" on the copyright page. The first issue dustjacket is one of the nicest we have seen with "FIRST EDITION" on the corner of the front flap along with the original price ($2.75). The dustjacket is quite crisp and the colors bright although there is darkening to the spine, the front flap is separated from the front panel, the rear panel crease is partially split and other minor touches of wear. But the integrity of this wonderful dustjacket is preserved by the archival plastic cover. A lovely copy. This book is featured in the Parrish Books Premier Collection.
