There are 2 full page color illustrations, 1 page black and white illustration, and Franklin's signature "wolf" is in white on the front endpaper. 292 pp. In fine purple and gold cloth & boards but for a very small touch of lightening on the bottom of the spine; all pages, including those of the illustrations, are clean and bright. With "First Edition" and number line ending in "1" on the copyright page. The fine dustjacket is complete and colorful but with very light rubbing. The turquoise slipcase has a metallic blue skull on the front and is otherwise fine and solid. Very scarce with the original illustrations. Includes a fine copy of Firsts Magazine, Vol. 1, Number 4, April, 1991 featuring an article about Ernest Franklin and the original artwork he creates for Tony Hillerman's books, "Illustrating Tony Hillerman."
