Also includes Franklin's signature "wolf" silhouette on the free page preceding the limitation page. Housed in dark blue leatherette, the book is in fine condition. The watercolor pages are naturally wavy from the moisture of the watercolors but that is to be expected, and the page facing the verso of the front free endpaper is sticky, again original to the publisher. The matching slipcase is in fine condition, solid with a gold emblem on the front matching the front book cover. This is the second children's book by Mr. Hillerman; it was preceded by "The Boy Who Made Dragonfly." Overall, a very unique, rare and wonderful edition. Includes a fine copy of Firsts Magazine, Vol. 1, Number 4, April, 1991 featuring an article about Ernest Franklin and the original artwork he creates for Tony Hillerman's books, "Illustrating Tony Hillerman."
