The first Hillerman mystery with both Joe Leaphorn and Him Chee. With number line ending in "1." The book is in near fine red and cream cloth & boards and is in beautiful condition but for very light touches of foxing on the page edges. 216 pp. The near fine dustjacket is complete with the original price but with light foxing on the verso (invisible from the front); protected by an archival plastic cover. Winner of both the Bouchercon Anthony Award and the Western Writers of America Golden Spur Award, this book was made into a PBS movie on the "Mystery" series in 2002.
